Proverbs 3:5-6

 

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

 

I have chosen these words from the Bible as the guiding principle for my business, The Furniture Maker.  In my work I want to depend on God’s wisdom and truth and not my own thinking.  Of course, this began for me as a person many years ago when I learned from the Bible that all people are sinful and therefore condemned to an eternity away from God in a place of torment called “Hell.”  Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  Revelation 20:11-15  teaches that the final destination for sinners  is a place described as “the lake of fire.”  I realized that I was headed for that horrible place, and I deserved it because I had sinned often.  Someone told me that Jesus Christ had died on the cross in my place in order to take away my sins.  Romans 5:8 states that, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”  After Jesus died He was buried in a new tomb.  Three days later He arose from the dead and was seen by many.  The Bible is filled with their eye-witness  accounts of having seen the risen Lord Jesus.  That was the best news that I had ever heard.  Believing what God had said, I simply acknowledged my sinfulness and asked Jesus to forgive my sin and to give to me eternal life.  God has promised salvation from “Hell” to all who will believe in Jesus’ work on the cross for them personally, and who will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.   Romans 10:13 promises, “For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  I know that if I die today, I will be in Heaven with Jesus, because I believe that what God has said is true.  So, I began to “trust the Lord with all my heart” many years ago.  God has proven Himself faithful all these years, and I have an incredible peace and joy, knowing that all is well with my soul.  I want my business to be carried out trusting the Lord.  It is my desire to do things His way and to bring glory to Him.  I hope that you will find Jesus as your Lord and Savior also.  He is the only way to Heaven.  In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”  If I can be of help to you spiritually, please contact me from the “Contact Us” page.
